What Is Swim-A-Thon?
Swim-A-Thon is Forestbrooke Athletic Club’s largest annual pool fundraiser — and the most fun! We gather for a full day of swimming with a goal of completing a collective 100 miles. We begin at 1 PM and swimmers/divers swim throughout the day in shifts. We all finish the last lap together around 9:30 or 10 PM. Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 and we think we can do it!
Swimmers and divers raise money from friends and family. Participants are entered into drawings to receive prizes based on donations they receive, but all participants are entered into the grand prize drawing and everyone gets a prize from the prize table no matter how much money they raise.
Swim-A-Thon is a team event! Families pitch in to count laps, provide supplies and prizes, and contribute to a potluck dinner. Adults can join in the fun and swim too! After reaching the 100-mile goal, swimmers and divers can camp out overnight and enjoy breakfast together the next morning.
